The concept of images to be viewed on an inclined angle has been around for many years. The idea has been described mathematically, and several illustrations have been carefully produced by hand-- from simple line drawings on a reference line grid, to exquisite illustrations, drawn with shading and shadow. In 1993, I invented a process whereby I could go beyond line drawings and produce actual photographic stereo images in this form. The results are astonishing! By way of introduction, my name is Owen C. (Wes) Western. As a stereoscopic enthusiast since the mid-1950s, I have worked in several media, from anaglyphs to single-strip polarized and anaglyph 3D motion picture film and video in various stereoscopic systems (using adapters which I have designed and built), as well as transparencies in multiple formats. I am also certified in the colorful Stereojet™ vectographic process, and became an authorized producer of Stereojet™ 3D polarized images.
